Service Description

Our Adult Basics training course encourages the bond between owner and dog, and serves as an introductory course to obedience training. This is the first step for anyone looking to have a well-mannered dog at home, including those with therapy dog goals. Topics covered include: - How to use clickers/markers to create behaviors - Sit - Down - Engagement around distractions - Recall - Basics of loose leash walking - Building foundations of Stay - Build foundations of Leave it This is a 6 week introductory course. As an entry level course, the first night of classes is without dogs. If you have any difficulty signing up please email us at info@upliftingpaws.org **If your dog has completed a class elsewhere and you are hoping to skip this class, Please email our head trainer grayson@upliftingpaws.org to schedule an evaluation. Evaluations will be required in order to skip class levels.**
